            Bug ID: 487256
Summary: Crash on launch when opening an image with very large
media files in the same directory
    Classification: Applications
           Product: gwenview
           Version: 24.02.2
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: ja...@nerdonthestreet.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If I have a folder structure like this:

- Project Folder
    - 200GB ProRes video file
    - 6MB PNG file

Attempting to open the PNG file results in Gwenview freezing before the file
has finished the fade-in animation, then crashing. If I delete the 200GB ProRes
video file (or move it to a different directory), then the PNG file opens
successfully.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put a very large media file in the same directory as an image.
2. Attempt to open the image.

OBSERVED RESULT
Gwenview crashes on launch.

EXPECTED RESULT
Gwenview displays the image.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.9.1-arch1-1
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0
Qt Version: 6.7.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I don't think this is a recent regression. I've long had certain "broken"
folders where Gwenview was unable to open images; I've never managed to
determine an exact cause until now.
