I would say that making it work for StringType is of greater priority than complex types. Also, if we can figure out an approach which avoids using auxiliary structures - that would likely be best. In addition, I imagine that the implementation for complex types may vary significantly depending on which approach we opt for, and will also require careful testing - so let's get it right for StringType first, and later we can move on with more confidence -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
