CUPS 2.4.8 got released and the fix https://github.com/OpenPrinting/cups/issues/879 is included.
Heinrich, thanks again for the investigations and bug report. Heinrich, best would be to do an SRU of CUPS, applying the patch to Ubuntu's 2.4.7 would be easy, but how does one verify this fix? Do you know how to quickly trigger the bug?
