Dear Maintainer,
meanwhile borgmatic has been updated to version 1.8.9 to solve #1067298,
so I was able to test the feature in question, i.e. passing the
--match-archives option to "borgmatic check".
While it works in general, the intended use case - requiring
"--match-archives *" - does not work using borgmatic 1.8.9 due to how
the underlying borg backup handles that. The borgmatic developer put a
specific workaround into it, see the last two comments in
https://projects.torsion.org/borgmatic-collective/borgmatic/issues/779
Since this has been released in borgmatic 1.8.10, updating to this
version would be helpful.
