Public bug reported:

I have an intranet site developed with IIS, where only "Windows Authentication"
is enabled.
(http header WWW-Authenticate: has "NTLM" at its beginning)

Firefox (snap version) on Ubuntu 24.04 is unable to authenticate to that
site. I removed the snap version of firefox, installed the
mozillateam/ppa version and the authentication works perfectly.

Firefox for MacOS, Firefox for windows are able to authenticate to the site
without problems.
Chrome on Ubuntu is working too.
Only the snap version seems to be affected.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
