Ben, I upgraded to Spring 1.2.2 and Acegi 0.8.3 today on WSAD 5.1's Websphere 5.0 Test Environment, without significant issues. I'll continue monitoring it closely throughout the week and will let you know if I run into any show stoppers. For now at least it looks like my concerns were unfounded...
