handle this or they just can know the parent by themselves?
if there is no parent exist in eclipse.

Eclipe cannot handle project containing another eclipse project.
So you should not import parent project.
Running :
mvn eclipse:clean eclipse:m2eclipse if your are using m2clipse plug in
OR
mvn eclipse:clean eclipse:eclipse if your are not using m2clipse plug in.
Will build all needed eclipse metadata (.project, .classpath) in all the acegi
modules.
Then simply import "existing project into workspace".

Hi,
It's rather a maven question :)
In general you have to:
mvn eclipse:clean eclipse:eclipse
eclipse:clean is needed to overwrite existing file ...
in root module.
But running in each module should also work.
