Join us online tomorrow, Saturday 7th May, 11am-12pm [NZST], for the fourth in the series of ADA Tech Object Seminars. Hear artist and educator Claire Hughes discuss the Vive VR headset and her work with the technology. In this series, each guest presenter is an arts practitioner who explores the social and artistic aspects of technology through their work.

Dr Claire Hughes holds a PhD Fine Arts using Virtual Reality technology, an MFA in Sculpture and Digital Printmaking, a BFA in Printmaking, as well as a BSc in Maths, and a Post Grad Diploma in Teaching. She is a practising artist having exhibited in group and solo shows for over twenty years, and has been a finalist in the Wallace Art Awards, Parklane Painting and CoCA Awards.

Claire uses virtual reality technology to build an innovative body of artwork, using theories in physics to inform the work. Her PhD thesis was entitled 'Entanglement: An investigation into the effective union of contemporary art and science communication'.
