Other than what Guenther Boelter suggested, a way to narrow
down the problem is to turn up the log level to 5, and when
a process dies (reported by amavisd-nanny), see what was
the last thing it was doing. With some luck the problem can
be reproduced by passing the same message through amavisd
or perhaps just through a command line spamassassin - the
message should still be in the temporary directory, left
behind by a crashed process.
