We were chatting about the ASH25 at Camden with it's millions of l'hotellier couplings and it drifted off on to the subject of other open class gliders. Nothing on the 'net we could find seemed to indicate either way whether auto or manual connections were provided. Considering it was designed after the Discus, which has auto couplings, we figured it was auto too, but it seems that it is not the case, at least for older N4s. I would imagine that the new 4DLs that use the Duo Discus fuselage will have auto couplings, older ones, probably not.
