"Yes, that is a good point. However, I did find one passage, in the Suriy-i-Ghusn, Tablet of the Branch, which implies (moral?) error for those who reject `Abdu'l-Baha"
Dear Mark, And we have similiar statements from Abdu'l-Baha regarding the House of Justice. ;-} I don't think there is any doubt that Baha'u'llah gave Abdu'l-Baha the authority to lead the Faith and therefore anyone who rejected it would rejecting Baha'u'llah's will. My point is that what we believe about Abdu'l-Baha's infalliblity, is based on His own claims and those whom Abdu'l-Baha authorized, not so much what His Father said. Therefore, I don't think a 'minimalist' position which excludes the self-understanding of any body associated with infalliblity really works. warmest, Susan __________________________________________________ You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:archive@mail-archive.com To unsubscribe, send a blank email to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe, use subscribe bahai-st in the message body to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Baha'i Studies is available through the following: Mail - mailto:bahai-st@list.jccc.edu Web - http://list.jccc.edu/read/?forum=bahai-st News - news://list.jccc.edu/bahai-st Public - http://www.escribe.com/religion/bahaist Old Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai-st@list.jccc.net New Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai-st@list.jccc.edu
