In Moojan Momen's article in Peter Smith's
"Baha'is in the West" he includes an account by
Ibn-i-Asdaq about the construction of a
Mashriqu'l-Adkhar (at 'Abdu'l-baha's behest),
hospice and school in the town of Marv in
Turkestan (p.74). This is also briefly mentioned
in "Eminent Baha'is in the Time of Baha'u'llah".
Does anyone know any more about this
building? Does it still exist? Why did Shoghi
Effendi no include it in any of his surveys of Baha'i progress and history?
