Ok That's what I thought :( There is no way to just upgrade the kernel without completely rebuilding the Kernel?
Would I not be better off just getting a more recent version say "3.8.13-bone22" ? Your going to need to build and then install it. Do it on x86 then replace the boot files on your microSD card.
