Hello all, I could have sworn I saw mention on this list at some point of this (just can’t find it in the archives).
I currently run a 9.18.x BIND and I use parental agents for automatic key rollover. I have a script that builds these and I included them in my config. From what I read on: https://bind9.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reference.html#namedconf-statement-checkds The “checkds” statement, if set to yes, will simply look at the parent NSes with no need to create/maintain the parental-agents list. Is this correct ? And also - what version of BIND was this first introduced (seems like something 9.19.x ?) ? My current setup is fine for me - but if there is a more elegant/native way of doing it in the future I’d want to do that vs. reinventing the wheel.
