Hello, Perhaps you could use https://bioconductor.r-universe.dev/BiocFileCache to download the big file on demand. The benefit is that the file would be stored in ~/.cache/R/yourPackage/ (for Linux; something similar for Windows/Mac) and reused between sessions.
