Hi CASPERites, As I'm sure you are all well-aware, the situation with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is rapidly worsening. In the face of a mounting number of infections, the overwhelming advice from governmental and academic organizations is to avoid unnecessary travel.
We don't yet know what the situation will be in September, when the CASPER 2020 workshop is due to take place in Sardinia, Italy. With this in mind, the CASPER2020 local and scientific organizing committees will be meeting over the next couple of months to decide whether this workshop should be postponed. At the request of INAF, a decision about this meeting will be made by the end of May, at the lastest. At this stage, I suggest you don't make travel plans which can't be cancelled. Apologies for the bad news, and best wishes to the many of you who are being badly affected by the current situation.
