Hi Adrian, For maintenance, this is the procedure I’d follow:
https://ceph.io/planet/how-to-do-a-ceph-cluster-maintenance-shutdown/ Difference between maintenance and emergency; I’d probably set all the flags as per maintenance but down the OSD’s at the same time followed by all the mons/admin. If you scripted it, there’s probably not a lot of difference in the time take to shutdown. A.
