Snorting when drinking water is not really a Chi mannerism as several of my
MinPins have done it. Ratties are larger then Chis so he might be a Toy Fox
Terrier or Chi. A small TFT can be 8.5" and are colored like that with a docked
tail. But the body types are slightly different and a Chi more cobby than a
TFT. Since your pup isn't the correct apple head from the pic it is possible he
is one or the other or a combo but extremely cute and if going to be a neutered
pet what difference does it make. All of my dogs are rescues and only Axel from
a top breeder the rest are all BYB dogs. Unless going to be shown, titled and
bred IMHO temperament and health is more important. Monte is the incorrect
"deerhead" but has a better front then apple head Alice. Which would only be an
issue with her if she was headed for an agility competition lifestyle. Her
front could break down from constant jumping. She was a Craig's list purchase
by a friend's niece as an 8 week old pup and they knew it was a BYB. Monte
probably was a BYB stud and since he most likely had problems after he broke
his pelvis they kicked him to the curb.
