Apparently it can't find the correct CMAP.
You might have to install the packages:
cmap-adobe-{cns1,gb1,japan1,japan2,korea1}.
Or install dvipdfmx.

Excellent. Then that means that you can also use Fontforge to create
fonts that are better than those created with ttf2tfm. But I'll show
you later on how to use Fontforge.

I haven't installed some of the MS fonts, and none of my current fonts
cover the complete Unicode set, so I can't test it.
But I'll certainly put it in my bookmarks. :)
