That would certainly prevent mooing. If the accelerometers don't work, you should still be able to test the audio parts by pressing the cow picture on the screen :) I think there might still be some locking problems lurking in the kernel parts of the accelerometer stuff. For me, re-starting OpenMooCow almost always makes it work the second time.
