------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-09 23:39 ------- I ran drakedm to try and correct this and after selecting mdkkdm as the login manager a /etc/sysconfig/desktop file was created with the following entry in it. DISPLAYMANAGER=KDE I believe it should be DISPLAYMANAGER=MDKKDM Could this be why people are reporting mdkkdm taking so long to start. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Here is the scenario. I did a fresh cooker install. Standard install, created three users. Elected to not use autologin by leaving default choices. Balance of install went without issue. Even though I left autologin unselected during the install /etc/sysconfig/autologin had AUTOLOGIN=yes set, but it did not take effect because the autologin package was not installed. Also, no /etc/sysconfig/desktop file was created. To correct I used the drakboot module to set autologin on and then back off. /etc/sysconfig/autologin now has AUTOLOGIN=no which is correct and the /etc/sysconfig/desktop file has been created [EMAIL PROTECTED] greg]$ cat /etc/sysconfig/desktop DESKTOP=KDE /g
