Fonts are installed under /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/drakfonts/ttf 3. A fonts.dir file is created (no other fonts.* file) 4. The fonts do not appear in the fonts list 5. The 'ttf' directory has a 700 permission, but changing it to 755 did not help 6. Copied the fonts manually to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF, and recreated the fonts directory 7.
