Have you seen what's the contents of the alias databases? Postfix's default one
is "hash:/etc/postfix/aliases". And you assign this bug to Postfix......

My bet is that you installed mailman -7mdk. This bug seems to be fixed in
mailman -8mdk also.

description:
In a cooker system built on about Sep 9, attempts to send mail would fail (and
cause the "sending" popup in Mozilla to hang until "Cancel" was selected). The
messages in syslog were:

Sep 13 09:07:04 ftgme2 postfix/master[2619]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/local:
bad command startup -- throttling
Sep 13 09:08:04 ftgme2 postfix/local[17394]: fatal: open dictionary: need
"type:name" form instead of: "`/usr/sbin/postconf"
Sep 13 09:08:05 ftgme2 postfix/master[2619]: warning: process
/usr/lib/postfix/local pid 17394 exit status 1

The cause of this is a missing quote in the specification for the alias
databases used by the local delivery agent. If viewed in Webmin (Servers ->
Postfix -> Mail Aliases), this option displays as

`/usr/sbin/postconf | grep ^alias_maps | cut -d

which is missing the ending back-quote.

As a related issue, when I fixed this through Webmin, and then redisplayed the
offending field, the quote was again missing, although now mail was being sent
successfully. So Webmin may have a problem here.

I've queued this to Postfix so that the configuration file can be corrected.
When that's fixed, please requeue to Webmin (and change the severity) so that
the display issue can be addressed.
