------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-26-09 13:54 -------
I expect for the "suspend" functionnality to appear for years. I would be
frustrated in some way if there would be always no "suspend" support in this
Mandrake Linux Release !

I already appreciated the CPU acpi management.

I wish you some courage for this _very_ expected functionnality.

Thanks.

Jérôme

description:
I saw the bug #4902 on this subject.

I installed Linux Mandrake 9.2 rc2. I found several bugs with the "suspend to
disk" KDE functionnality.

First bug
---------
1. Under KDE, I selected the menu entry "K"->"Suspend To Disk".
2. I got a window which asked me "Do you really want to suspend to disk?". I
choosed "OK".
3. The screen became black. The hard disk worked a little. I heard the same
noise as when the computer is restarting. Then I saw the mdkkdm login prompt.
4. I logged again in and I retried a second time (steps 1, 2) but my screen
stayed black. When mouving the mouse, I saw the password prompt (as when locking
the screen). I typed my user password and I logged again in KDE. I retrieved the
applications I was previously working on.

This bug looks like:
- a X restart while performing the copy of the memory to the disk.
- a "reboot" runlevel instead of the "halt" one.

Second bug
----------
Wrong english message:
"Do you really want to suspend to disk?"
instead of:
"Do you really want to suspend to disk ?"

Third bug
---------
I used a french install.
Some messages were not translated in french.
