Installing the beta package of koffice from the download editon of 9.2 removes
the kde and Gnome menus. Just 20% of them survive and kcontrol is not on the
list.
I heard the problem from another guy last week. He couldn't found kcontrol at
the menu (strange).
I yesterday installed a system with a bunch of new software (primarily video
packages and games) and koffice-beta. After installing the menues had
disapeared. Gone. I logged of and tried gnome instead of kde: most of them
gone.
then I ran the uninstaller and uninstalled koffice-beta alone and the menus
came back.
