------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-11-18 04:20 ------- I guess I should start a new thread for this issue: Although I have now successfully installed the AMD64 version, I cannot get it to run with 2 sticks of identical 512MB Kingston Hyperx 3200 memory. If I take one stick out, it runs fine. I hope someone else can corroborate this error as a software error, because my hardware seems just fine when running Windows XP. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: creation_date: description: I get the following error notice: unable to handle Kernel paging request<1> at 000000008010dbec RIP: [<000000008010dbec>] PML4 1f5e0067 PGD 0 oops: 0010 CPU 0 Pid: 0, comm: swapper not tainted RIP: 0010[<000000008010dbec>] RSP --------( a bunch of register settings I have omitted)----- <0>Kernel panic: Attempted to kill the idle task!
