I get the same thing.

Which version do you have.  a tetex rpm came out two days in a row,
spaced very closely to each other and you might have hit the server in
the middle of an rsync.

Well, the error is "normal", and is due to the fact that
in version 2.0-1mdk and 2.0-2mdk a previous "config" file become a
directory with the same name. So from old
1.0.7-XX to 2.0-1mdk and 2mdk you got that problem, as well
as from 2.0-2mdk to 2.0-3|4mdk.

Instead it should be OK from 1.0.7-XXmdk -> 2.0-4mdk, and from
2.0-4mdk -> 2.0-5mdk. For all the other cases, you have
to uninstall tetex-dvipdfm before.
