------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-03 05:37 ------- This is a continuing problem. When drive is empty, access to /mnt from gui causes drive to endlessly seek if there is no cdrom in the drive. if door is opened and cd is placed in drive during this activity, then seek ands and contents of /mnt is displayed. This was a problem in 9.0 as well as 9.1, and is only a problem in the gui. cd to /mnt in a console is instantaneous. I worked around the problem in 9.0 by moving my removeable media mount point to /rmv, but this is a dirty hack. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: When selecting software sources manager after a clean install of rc1, rpmdrake repeatedly tries to access the cd-rom, despit ethe fact that the drive has no disk in it. Pressing the eject button causes the drive to open. Placing a cd in the tray and closing causes the seeking to terminate and the configure sources window displays.
