------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-08 17:01 ------- This is a feature, not a bug. It is very bad practice to log in as root and this feature discourages the practice. Log in as user and use su or sudo to execute the commands you need to run as root. If you insist on running the gui as root, you have three options: 1) remove mdkkdm and install kdebase-kdm to restore the kde display manager which allows this; 2) set root to show on the list in the kde control center; 3) set all users to no-show in the kde control center, thus requiring the typing in of all user names. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: In KDE and GNOME, it is not possible to log in as root after having logged out as normal user.
