This is a fast paced environment leveraging industry leading technologies such as Oracle and Web Logic to build high performance scalable database applications. THE BIG PICTURE: Partner with product managers to design and build new applications Develop database applications to solve real world business challenges Work closely with the System Architects and Performance and Scalability experts to ensure high performance scalable enterprise applications. Develop applications that have a large presence on the internet. Opportunity to work on system with very large transaction requirements. Learn from the most talented and motivated engineers in the industry. Be a leader of technology and provide technical suggestions and guidance to the team. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH: - Works closely with System Architects. - Works closely with Product Management. - Works closely with Quality Assurance team. - Works with Product Managers to define and build Products. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE JOB: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 8 years of Oracle database development experience (Data Modeling, PL/SQL). 5 years of Oracle database administration experience in a development environment. 5 years of experience in performance tuning applications and databases. 5 years of Unix Shell Scripting. 3 years of Perl programming. Must have a proficient knowledge of software development methodologies. Great communication skills and problem solving ability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good planning and organizational skills. Self-starter with self initiative and direction. Works well independently and within a team. DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience with the following technologies is desired: Oracle 10g New Features, MySQL, ER Studio, Oracle Designer, Java, C++, Data Warehousing experience a plus.
