Position : UI Developer Location : Secaucus, NJ Start Date : Immediate Job Description: The public Internet and private extranet sites are in the process of being integrated onto a single technical platform with a common set of business processes. This will enable a consistent, seamless, more targeted user experience. This is a multi-year project which will require an User Interface Developer to create the new page layouts as defined by the eChannel business team as the project evolves. Develop rich, accessible user interface design and code for an Internet application using CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, XML, HTML/DHTML, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks, Illustrator. The UI designs will be used by WebSphere Portal to render content as part of a multi-lingual web project. Development Experience for mobile web experience a big plus. Experience with DOM structures, Frameworks and JavaScript Libraries, a plus. Experience with Java, JSP, WebSphere Portal and WSAD/RAD on Windows/IIS,Web Services, a plus. • 10+ years of web development experience. • develop code and implement user interface with cross-browser compatible code for IE 6,7,8, Firefox 3 • creates designs to meet user requirement specs • creates conceptual wire frames • creates detailed screen layouts • defines UI specifications and style guides • ensures page design reflects SEO considerations • ensures page design consistency across multiple languages and browsers • provides iconography,dialog boxes and global look-and-feel • performs web site functionality testing • performs regression testing • tests new features that are added with new releases • interact and collaborate with the client on changes to design. • Candidates should have JAVA development skills as well. • CSS - 10 yrs, java script – 7 to 9 yrs, Jquery – 4 to 5 years, Ajax – 4 to 5 years, XML – 4 to 5 years, Flash – 7 to 9 yrs, HTML – 4 to 5 yrs, DHTML – 7 to 9 yrs and JAVA. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
