Did anything come of this?

Has anyone tried using DBD::ODBC with the mdbtools ODBC driver to
access an Access .mdb file[*](possibly networked via Samba etc etc)?

[*] Of course it's really a 'Jet' database engine file, and Jet is
also used in MS Money, Project, IIS, and Exchange etc.
