Package: iceowl-extension
Version: 10.0.12-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

In our company we have a centralized caldav server. Mac users connect to it
with iCal and can also created and read appointments on notebooks when not
connected.

Non Mac users use iceowl, as it supposely also supports calendar caching while
offline.

Now I found out that the in this version (10.0.12-1) you can enable caching
which allows you to read calendar entries while offline. If you try to create
or modify an entry, this leads to an error telling the server
is not reachable. But the changes then are not cached and syncronized back when
the server becomes online.

Also if you untick a calendar apparently the cache is emptied so if you tick it
again while offline, you don't even seen the appointments.

Is this expected behaviour or a bug in the caching management?

Are there other caldav clients you could recommend for Debian users which work
better on portable devices?

Kind regards
-Benoit-
