Package: tgif
Version: 1:4.2.5-1.2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
If you input Japanese fonts and print a file(ie exported as EPS)
then you will see broken Japanese (mojibake in Japanese).

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   Upgraded tgif and modified /etc/X11/ja_JP.eucJP/app-defaults/Tgif
   for Japanese fonts

   * What was the outcome of this action?
When prit a file containing Japanese font to LaTeX(EPS) format
   I got broken Japanese.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Of course, I expect correct Japanese in EPS file.

FYI. this is well-known problem and you can get the fix in
http://bourbon.usc.edu/tgif/download.html#tgif-QPL-4.2.5b
it is tgif-QPL-4.2-patch5b.gz
Thanks for your maintenance.
Best regards, Mon Jun 10, 2013
