Stephen Hemminger is the upstream maintainer for iproute2.
He has a git repository at git.kernel.org and the primary mailing
list (except for sending patches directly to shemminger) is
net...@vger.kernel.org.

The pkg-iproute repo should be available via debcheckout.

Thanks for the explanation. As I understand it, the problem is not
the need for iproute2 to transition to testing then but
a(ny) version not being able to the buildds.
