* What led up to the situation?
My system run out of RAM, paniclog reports :exim4 "daemon: fork of queue-runner
process failed: Cannot allocate memory"
As i got thids mail daily, I wanted to get rid of it issuing:
But : logrotate -f -v /etc/logrotate.d/exim4-paniclog
* What was the outcome of this action?
"# logrotate -f -v /etc/logrotate.d/exim4-paniclog

* What outcome did you expect instead?
With the "-f" option, I'd expect the log getting rotated nontheless
