* What led up to the situation?
Firstly, trying to upgrade mikutter and running the new version.
The "followers" and "following" tabs had English text on the initial run
and were missing on the next run.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Tried removing the .mikutter directory and replacing it with a backed up
old configuration directory tree.
Tried removing the .mikutter directory and re-running mikutter.
This resulted in many of the tutorial messages being in Japanese.
* What was the outcome of this action?
* What outcome did you expect instead?
For the time being I am downgrading mikutter so that I can still use it.
I am happy to run the new version to provide more information if that will
assist in fixing the problems.
