Package: squashfs-tools Version: 1:4.2+20130409-2 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, the default unsquashfs does not support "LZMA with swapped fields" files, which begin with: "shsq" rather than the usual "hsqs" magic header.
This is important to access firmware files such as Intenso's Gmbh "rt3055" embedded Linux SoC products. A patch to handle this has been made available here, http://sourceforge.net/p/squashfs/patches/20/, and may be applied to the latest snapshot of the program from SourceForge. Recompilation with a Makefile that contains: [...] XZ_SUPPORT = 1 and further below: [...] LZMA_XZ_SUPPORT = 1 [...] leads to a working unsquashfs executable, with the new capability.
