I've been using my system to build rpm packages as well as Debian packages. There is a fork of git-buildpackage that includes support for building rpm packages: https://github.com/marquiz/git-buildpackage-rpm It seems to be used for Tizen. This fork adds a separate subpackage, git-buildpackage-rpm, as well as git-buildpackage-common. The fork's maintainer mentioned that it is intended to be merged into the main git-buildpackage.
