Bug#728113: smartmontools still broken

I have just tried running smartctl with the updated binutils version 
2.24.90.20141201-1, however the bug is still there.

$ smartctl -a /dev/sda
Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-version.c: 224: 
_dl_check_map_versions: Assertion `needed != ((void *)0)' failed!
