The smb.conf.5 section for "max shares" currently says: usershare max shares (G)
This parameter specifies the number of user defined shares that are allowed to be created by users belonging to the group owning the usershare directory. If set to zero (the default) user defined shares are ignored. Default: usershare max shares = 0 I propose adding below that a paragraph something along these lines: Note: On Debian systems the default value for this parameter is 100. To disable usershares, you can explicitly set it to 0 in your smb.conf file. Nathan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
