Yep, you're right. It was something I didn't notice. Thanks for the heads up. Now, I've prepared (and about to upload) a new revision of gegl package with a regular dependency on libjson-glib-dev, both as a build-dependency and for the -dev package. I've also re-built gimp 2.8.14-1 against this new package and it builds fine[1]. Hope this can help. Cheers.
