Package: lintian Version: 2.5.48 Hi. Isenkram uses information from AppStream to locate packages relevant for the hardware present on a given computer. I would like to have some lintian checks verifying the AppStream metadata and the udev rules to try to detect if a package providing access for given user accessible device will work as it should after AppStream install it, and to make sure AppStream will know the package is relevant for some specific hardware.
I'm working on a patch for this. So far my first draft is in <URL: https://github.com/petterreinholdtsen/lintian/tree/appstream-metadata >. It still need more work before I am confident the checks make sense.
