Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
        I left my laptop running for more than a day. (cant think any other way 
to replicate it) I periodically connect and disconnect the usb mouse.
        I was using a usb mouse and i tried to use the touchpad.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
        i tried to use my touchpad. Move or click it 
   * What was the outcome of this action?
        NOthing. The touchpad didnt work at all. Althought when i connected the 
usb mouse the usb mouse was working
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
        click or move the mouse cursor
