This error only happens if you're relying on tokens. If you disable tokens in /etc/gplaycli/gplaycli.conf, then the versions currently in sid and buster will work.

Unfortunately, the token dispenser wasn't working for me again just now. I'm considering ways to make this fail nicely in such a way that it defaults to trying the token dispenser, but if that fails it provides instructions on adding a google login.

It does appear that even with tokens disabled and using a login, the version in stable doesn't work, with the server returning UNKNOWN_ERR. I guess I'll have to request removal from buster.

I'm not too worried about stretch and the stretch-backports, as support will be dropped in ~3 months..
