Good to know it works with 0xca, there are too many confusing reports, including several (on Ubuntu) about failures with 0xca... Issue reported upstream at: https://github.com/intel/Intel-Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-Files/issues/33 We will most likely have to revert this specific microcode update (0x806ec), and very probably also its companion 0x906ec. -- Henrique Holschuh
