Hi Alberto, This is strange indeed! It's not at all clear from the strace output what missing file is causing the trouble. And the error message that you're seeing is not particularly helpful either. To reassign this to pyqt5, you can run the following command (if you have the devscripts package installed): bts reassign 979707 python3-pyqt 5.15.2+dfsg-2 . retitle it "python3-pyqt: file not found error causes anki to crash" (And BTW, I also have an up-to-date testing system with this same version of pyqt5, and anki runs without difficulty.
