Hi Enico (my first AM!), Thanks for your message. However, this behavior is not a specific issue in scrot but in some window managers. The Gimp produces the same effect when capturing an area in KDE/Plasma in some scenarios (Gimp: File > Create > Screenshot > Select a screen area). There are 2 workarounds to solve this problem. The safest one that should work: scrot --select --freeze Or using another selection mode: scrot --select --line mode=edge But this last one does not behave correctly with some CWM.
