Hi: The reports happen with CPUs older than haswell too. The issue seems to be newer kernels checking what access the MSR registers. Previously i7z worked without triggering the logging. Other software is also being affected, for example https://github.com/erpalma/throttled/issues/228 Cheers, GSR
