Yes,  and I could create a git repository at Salsa.

So, that means there are (at least) two paths to a git repository
where the debian tarball for hyx can live.

Both paths are fine with me.

@Russell   I make it your call.
Please respond with an option from something along:
* Stappers: Yes, a git repo at Salsa is fine. Create one
* There is now   ${GIT_REPO_URL}
* I prefer the old days approach when the debian directory
  was "maintainer pet thing". (AFAIK this is still valid)
* I choose ......

That is fine.  Upstream provides tarballs.

Thing that could be improved is that https://yx7.cc/code/hyx/
would has an index. Something that allows to see that a new
upstream version is available. (It is what debian utility `uscan`
does.)
